Literary Late Night (Poetry Slam and Improv Comedy Show): Thursday, March 24th, 8pm; (Slam Signup: 7:00-7:30pm)
Join us on Thursday, March 24th at 8:00 PM for Literary Late Night, a dynamic night of entertainment in two parts. First the National Comedy Company will take to the stage and make up a musical skit on the spot (with you, the audience’s help) a.k.a the most ridiculous show that Tennessee Williams never wrote!

After the comedy show, stick around for our Poetry Slam hosted by New Orleans’ own Chuck Perkins. Spoken word artists will compete for a $100 prize. If you’re a slam poet, come sign up between 7:00-7:30 PM. Get your best rhymes ready! Audience members, we’ll need your help to judge and find our Slam Champion. (Ticket Code: LitLateNightTh8)

BEDTIME STORIES
Bedtime Stories (Literary Erotica and Burlesque): Friday, March 25th, 8pm.

Back by popular demand on Friday night, March 25th at 8:00PM is Bedtime Stories, a night of literary erotica hosted by Veronica Russell with Chris Lane. Actors and authors will read from classic sexy texts while burlesque dancers from Fleur de Tease entertain with their sultry moves. Be warned: this event is designed to titillate and is not for the faint of heart! Featuring Jarret Lofstead, Lisa Picone, Ratty Scurvics and Jeni Stewart. (Ticket Code: BedtimeFri8pm)

The People Say Project Presents: Ayo Scott & Bunny Matthews, Tues 03.22 @ the LHC

NOLAFugees Press proudly presents the 2d installment of The People Say Project: Conversations on Culture & Money, Tuesday, March 22d.

CEO and design principal for NOYO, Ayo Scott and New Orleans legend Bunny Matthews (Vic & Natly, Nint’Wardica) discuss the business of making art in the Crescent City.

LHC Program Director Brian Boyles moderates the conversation, which will include an audience Q&A. A catered reception precedes each event, with local restaurants donating food and drink.  Students enrolled in Loyola University’s Digital Media course develop the content on thepeoplesayproject.org

Events are held at the Louisiana Humanities Center, 938 Lafayette, with doors opening at 5:00 for a reception of free food and drink. The interviews will begin at 6pm. For further information contact Brian Boyles @ boyles@leh.org.
